Walyalup Kannajil – Song Writing Workshops

Workshops offer an inclusive and creative way to immerse in Noongar language, singing and culture

Join us for a Noongar song writing and translation workshop led by Noongar language teacher and consultant, Whadjuk Noongar Sharon Gregory and Bibbulmun Noongar Kobi Morrison, singer, songwriter and Music Director of Walyalup Kannajil. 

Sharon and Kobi guide participants through the song translation process, including an overview of Noongar language and basic sentence structure, as well as an outline of the ‘culture of music’ and key song translation elements. An inclusive and creative way to immerse in Noongar language and culture, through music and song translation.
